TESCO FLOPS IN JAPAN.

It proved to be a loss making venture after nine years in Japan.

Tesco anticipate selling a 50% stake to Japanese retailer Aeon after completing a re-structuring programme expected to total £40,000,000.

Reverse traffic from the far east is booming in Spain. Not so much the Japanese as the Chinese. In the immediate area of Spain where I live there are three huge superstores selling a complete range of domestic goods apart from foodstuffs.

That area is covered by inumerable chinese restaurants all enjoying a flourishing trade.

Tesco cutting down on Japanese commitment.
